PREPARING FOR COLLEGE

Career Exploration

Coupled with the Self-Assessment we can help students explore career options based on their interests and academic abilities. We offer our guidance and expertise in addition to online tools to find careers that are appropriate for their individual personality and goals. Often times, students are alerted to careers that they hadn't thought of or hadn't known existed.

Career Exploration is also an important task for managing expectations. Often times a student wants to major in a particular field because of their interests without giving much thought to the probability of finding a job after graduation or the average salary of people in their future profession. It's nice to know that if you're going to spend $100,000 on a college education, you'll be starting your career after you graduate and you can begin paying off all those student loans!

Once a student has an awareness about the type of career they want to engage in, the college search becomes more focused and ultimately successful. We can help identify majors and the appropriate colleges for that major. Not only do you need to verify that the colleges offer your major, but also what kind of networking, internships and career placement do these colleges offer for their students in this desired field?

College is an investment. It needs to be treated as an investment. Therefore, families need to do all they can to maximize the return on their investment.
