We will analyze the offer from each school to determine if each award is an
excellent, fair, or poor award. Criteria such as the GPA, SAT scores, community
service, athletic prowess, musical ability, and financial need affect the
financial aid package that is offered. Also what must be taken into
consideration is the school's past history in how they have traditionally met
financial need and awarded academic merit.
Award letters can sometimes be confusing because they can offer several different
types of aid. Obviously scholarships and grants are better than loans. However,
some schools add certain conditions to scholarships such as the student
maintaining a certain GPA in college. Some schools may only offer a grant for
the first year.
We can compare your student's awards from their schools to determine which one
would benefit the student the most. Through our analysis, we can determine if it
is to the student's benefit to appeal a college's award package.
